Documento Commerciale Requirements
RT Device Integration
All fiscal receipts must be generated through a certified Registratore Telematico (RT) device registered with the Agenzia delle Entrate. Each RT has a unique serial number that must appear on every receipt. ReceiptForge accepts the RT serial number in the transaction payload and renders it in the mandated position on the Documento Commerciale.
Codice Fiscale Requirements
Business receipts must display the seller's Partita IVA (VAT number) and, when requested by the customer, the buyer's Codice Fiscale for tax deduction purposes. ReceiptForge supports conditional rendering of the Codice Fiscale field based on the transaction data, ensuring it appears only when provided.
Progressive Numbering
Each Documento Commerciale must carry a progressive number that resets daily. The numbering format follows the pattern NNNN/YYYY where NNNN is the daily sequential number and YYYY is the year. ReceiptForge validates that numbering is sequential within each daily closure period and flags gaps during pre-publish validation.
Chiusura Giornaliera (Daily Closure)
At the end of each business day, the RT device must perform a chiusura giornaliera (daily closure) and transmit the summary data to the Agenzia delle Entrate within 12 days. The closure report includes total revenue, VAT breakdowns by rate, number of transactions, and any voids or returns. ReceiptForge generates closure-ready summary data automatically.
Lottery Code Integration
Italy's Lotteria degli Scontrini (Receipt Lottery) allows consumers to participate in a national lottery by providing their lottery code at the point of sale. IVA Rate Breakdown
Italian receipts must show a clear breakdown of amounts by IVA (VAT) rate. Italy uses multiple rates: 22% standard, 10% reduced, 5% super-reduced, and 4% minimum.
